Introducing our groups

Our mission is to serve swimmers and their families;
by providing quality swim lessons that enable kids to master swim skills in a structured,
supportive and fun environment.

Waterbubs

(4 - 15 Months)

Our baby program is unique, uplifting and contribute to the positive development of the whole child.  The experience to be with a parent in the water is precious and priceless!   Guided by the swim instructor, mom or dad helps baby to rediscover the liquid environment they left behind in the womb… a water environment that is caressing and stimulating.  Components of the lesson include songs, exercising breath-holding on a verbal cue, supported floats and movement exploration.

Nemos I

(15 - 24 Months)

The Nemo-groups are still in the water with their parents.  Being in the crawling and (eventually) walking stage, the program helps them to become stronger in the different muscle groups. As they can exercise more muscles on water than on land and are less restricted by gravity, strength is increased faster.

Nemos II

(24 - 36 Months)

The Nemo-groups are still in the water with their parents.  Being in the crawling and eventually walking stage, the program helps them to become stronger in the different muscle groups. As they can exercise more muscles on water than on land and are less restricted by gravity, strength is increased faster.  This enhances their propulsion- and other skills like climbing out of the pool, turning back to the wall for safety and rolling onto the back to float.

Penguins I

(3 years old)

In this class toddlers go into the water only with the instructor.  They are taught fundamental swim skills, which will set the stage for learning to swim effectively.  We further exercise independent back floating and other safety skills.  Much time is put into perfecting basic propulsion (kick, as well as arm movement), the blowing of bubbles and flotation.  We educate them about safety in- and around water, and incorporate games / imaginary ‘play’ with the purpose of strengthening those physical abilities.

Penguins II

(4 - 6 years, depending on child's experience/previous swim lessons)

Exercises during Penguins II 'anchor' the fundamentals taught in Penguins I level by learning to swim independently and with more confidence.  They must now master basic movement on the back and a very basic Freestyle with strength and confidence.  Skills like sculling and diving are also added.

Starfishes

(5 years and older)

On Starfish level we work on each Stroke for two weeks, before switching to another stroke – this cycle repeats throughout the year.  Lots of drills are done to help master difficult skills required by the Strokes (e.g. Freestyle breathing, the Breast Stroke arms and unique kick, Survival Back Stroke and the Butterfly stroke’s body movement.) Following that, is to put the components of the Strokes together.  They learn to perform Free style, Back-, Survival/Elementary Back-  and a basic Breast Stroke.  Butterfly kick and the treading of water is also learned.

Sea Turtles

(Advanced group)

This program fine-tunes the kid’s strokes and work on more advanced techniques, to strengthen the strokes, than in the previous level.  We work on Starts, Turns and Push-offs of the different strokes and the individual Medley.  We focus on establishing excellent stroke technique while completing longer distances.

Superfishes

(Most advanced group)

This is the top level of our swimmers, before they are referred to ‘big’ (25 m+) pools.  By this time they had master all Strokes in terms of swimming it with all of its different components.  They have to perform the strokes with efficiency and skillfulness; good coordination and strength, with correct sequence and timing.  When moving onto the competitive swimming they will work on more technical details, stamina and endurance.
